Amalgam Filling Removal may be advised when old fillings are breaking down, recurrent dental caries (decay) is present, or if you have been advised of mercury allergies or sensitivities to any of the other filling components including silver, tin, copper, or zinc. Our center provides the most advanced protection and safety in the removal of all dental materials that may contain heavy metals including mercury, nickel, zinc, cadmium, and lead. Any broken or failing fillings can be safely removed and replaced with ceramic or BPA-free composite resin materials that look and function like your natural tooth.

How It Works: IAOMT SMART. Only your affected tooth will be exposed, with your body covered and an oxygen mask over your mouth. Your practitioner will place a vacuum directly near your face to suck out particles. You’ll be given a dental dam barrier to avoid any remaining residue.

How It Works: After you come in, your BioMed practitioner will prep the tooth if necessary and then take a digital impression scan while you’re in the chair. The scan will then be sent over to a 3-D printer to print your crown.

Clear Aligners (Removable Aligner Therapy) offers an alternative method to traditional braces. Aligning the teeth in this fashion will not only improve aesthetics, but straight teeth aid in improving your optimal oral and overall health. Clear Aligners allows you to remove these almost-invisible trays while eating or brushing your teeth, and allows you to floss with less difficulty.

How It Works: A BioMed practitioner will take digital impressions of your teeth and send them to the lab where your aligners will be made. Multiple sets of aligners will be sent back, and you will wear each set for around 2 weeks before switching to the next set.

Laser Dentistry uses innovative dental technology, which combines the precision of laser energy with the power of ozonated water to promote the regeneration of healthy periodontal (gum) tissue while eliminating disease. The complexity of the dental laser allows use on both hard and soft tissue: reshaping gum contours, exposing wisdom teeth, removing tooth decay, and repairing bone defects. Gum disease is a chronic form of “silent” inflammation that can eventually cause destruction of the supporting bone and gum tissue, and lead to tooth loss if left untreated. During periodontal cleanings, we can remove harmful bacterial biofilms and buildup below the gum line in order to maintain a healthy support structure for your teeth.

How It Works: Your BioMed practitioner will numb the area with a topical treatment or offer you an anesthetic. The practitioner will use cavitron to break down bacteria, and occasionally use a diode laser to kill bacteria deep with teeth. You’ll typically be given a Stella Life Rinse to use at home.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?: 60-90 minutes, several sessions is typical.

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is used in many dental surgical procedures such as extractions and dental implants. PRF accelerates the healing process, decreases surgical pain and swelling for both dental implants and all tooth extraction. PRF also improves the strength of bone’s direct structural and functional connection to implants.

How It Works: Your BioMed practitioner will draw blood. The blood is centrifuged to spin down and separate white and red blood cells and plasma. The plasma is flattened and can be mixed with bone grafts to be placed into the extraction site or around the implant site.
